  • Because this is a mid-summer race and conditions may be quite hot, please be sure to take adequate precautions against sunstroke and heatstroke prior to the race and to remember to take water early during competition. In the event that you do feel ill during the race, retire from competition and ask race staff for assistance.
  • Traffic control will be conducted during the race as required. During the race, traffic conditions may require asking runners to stop and wait while vehicle traffic is given priority. Please follow traffic rules and obey course officials' instructions at all times.
  • The course covers varied terrain including off-road areas with irregular, unpaved surfaces. On sections of the course where you are asked to run on the sidewalk, you must not run on the street. Some sections of the course are narrow, making wheelchair participation impossible.
  • Except at the start of the race, always run on the left side of the road.
  • Times will be recorded using chips. Remember that your time will not be recorded if you are not wearing your chip. After competition, be sure to return your chip to race staff or to race headquarters. Note also that you will be charged cost for lost chips.
